How often does Troop 140 meet?
The troop meets most Mondays from 7:00-8:30 PM.
Where do meetings take place?
Meetings are held at the Community Life Center of Harvest United Methodist Church, 9029 Sienna Ranch Rd, Missouri City, Texas 77459.
What should new families do first?
Attend a meeting and / or complete the online application
What forms are required to join?
Families are asked to complete the Code of Conduct and BSA Medical Form parts A and B.
How much does it cost?
The cost of Scouting is dependent on the level of involvement
Scouting America Annual Membership (Paid as party of the online membership application) - Approx $85
Troop 140 Annual Dues - $100
Uniform - About $150 for a brand new uniform; Many uniform elements are available 2nd hand from the Troop wardrobe at no cost.
Camping - Each campout has a different cost depending on the activities undertaken --> Troop 140 Campouts
Is there any fundraising opportunities available to offset the cost of scouting?
Troop 140 Scouts operate the Flags Accross Sienna program. Scouts participating in this program earn an annual average of $750 credit that can used to offset the cost of National Membership, Troop Dues, Scouting America Uniforms, and Troop Campouts.
